CATHOLIC SCHOOLS WEEK 2009
We had a variety of activities this year as we "Celebrated Service" for Catholic Schools Week.
Our Primary School students enjoyed some storytelling from special city officials and professionals.
Our Middle School celebrated with a Career Day where area business people and professionals visited grades 5-8 to talk about their chosen professions.
Here are some pictures of their visits.
Msgr. Chris Connelly and Fr. Riendeau came to read to our Kindergarten classes.

Our very own Fr. Gentile stopped by to read a story to our Preschool (4) class.

Author and Catholic Observer writer Peggy Weber visited our 5th Grade class.

Republican Newspaper writer Barbara Bernard shared her journalism experience with Grade 6.

Meteorologist Brandon Butcher from CBS-3 visited Grade 7.

Accreditation
Blessed Sacrament School received its accreditation from the New England Association of Schools and Colleges in the fall of 2004. Accreditation assures that the school fulfills its mission and meets or exceeds the standards outlined by NEASC. A comprehensive self-study and a visit by a team from the association preceded the awarding of accreditation. Mrs. Anne Heston, principal, accepted the plaque for the school.
