Summer Improvements

The custodial staff here at OLSH has been very busy this summer. They have painted classrooms, hallways, offices and even the science lab. They have stripped and polished floors all over this school!
When you see our head custodian, Jay Dunnigan, or any of his crew which includes, Joe Bachand, Tyler Donnelly, Carlos Cartagena, Jeff Johnson and Rich Starbard please say thank you for a job well done!! The school looks great!!!

Get the Phone…..

Construction has begun on the new intercom and phone system. This system will enable teachers to communicate with the office. This was a necessary upgrade to our building. It is with great appreciation that we announce to our community that The Foundation of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Springfield, MA, Inc has awarded our school with a grant in the amount of $17,000. The grant has been awarded for the purpose of installing an intercom system. In addition, the OLSH School Association together with the parents allocated $5000. towards the new system. We are grateful to all of those involved in making this upgrade a reality and we look forward to announcing its completion.

Welcome Back Mass

We extend our warmest welcome to all of our families and ask them to join us in our Welcome Back Liturgy to be held Friday, September 7th at 9:00am. The mass will be celebrated by Father Charles Kuzmesk, Pastor. Please join us as we ask the Lord to bless us as we begin this new school year.

School Association

The new officers have been meeting and planning all summer for the 2007/2008 school year.
Donna Dwarska, Carleen Ferguson, Kim Zeno and Julie Dougal have already held a couple of Uniform Swaps and Sales as well as two luncheons for the Teachers and Staff In-Service Days.. They will be hosting the first School Association meeting of the year on Wednesday, September 12th in Monsignor Donahue Hall at 6:30pm. They will be offering free child care and light refreshments. This is the perfect opportunity for parents to become involved in their child’s school. Please mark your calendar and plan on attending this meeting.
