Services Supported

Listed below are some of the activities Council #411 has engaged in over the recent years.

2008 Events

  • Pasta Mania - "Fat" Tuesday, February 5, 2008, 6PM  (our primary fund raiser)

  • Alter Server recognition party, January 6, 2008 at Ken's Bowl in Pittsfield, MA.

Past Activities Supported

  • Organized and conducted an Altar Server Recognition Christmas Party for all the altar servers in St Agnes and St Patrick's.

  • Donated money to purchase a large screen TV and DVD/DCR player for St Agnes school.

  • Provided financial support to seminarians from our parish.

  • Conducted a "Blue Mass" at St Agnes to honor our police and firefighters from Dalton and the hill towns.

  • Donated funds to the St Agnes Youth Group to help play for their planned trip to the World Youth Day in Cologne Germany in August 2005.

  • Funded and supervised construction of the shrine and reflection area dedicated to the Holy Family at the side of St Agnes' Church to honor family life.

  • Sponsored a bus trip to K of C headquarters to see the K of C museum and a special exhibit from the Vatican.

  • Our members are active in the TV Ministry which broadcasts the 4PM Mass live each Saturday and tapes the mass for later playback at other locations such as the local hospital.

  • Secured funding for a parish family to obtain a handicap-equipped van.

 Community Service 

  • Our handyman committee serves the elderly and handicapped of the area by performing acts of service from simple chores to major repairs to dwellings.

  • We have arranged (and also helped construct) facilities for handicapped members of our community.

  • We conduct an annual free throw shooting contest for area youth.

  • We administer and award scholarships to graduates of Wahconah and St Joseph's High Schools (David Carmel Scholarships).

  • We donated an American Flag which had flown over the White House to the Town of Dalton to replace one that had become well worn.

  • We apply the proceeds of our Toy and Charity Fund to purchase and distribute gift certificates to needy youth of the area each Christmas.

Fund Raising 

  • We conduct Father/Daughter and Mother/Son dances each year in St Agnes School.

  • We sell Tootsie Rolls each year to benefit the physically challenged.

  • We conduct several Pasta Dinners during the year to support our charitable outreach activities.
