Keep Our Children Safe

  The Diocese of Springfield is committed to keeping children and youth safe.  To that end, our parish has implemented steps to safeguard our children.

  All parish staff and volunteers are required to sign a Code of Conduct, which establishes guidelines for appropriate interactions between church personnel and those they serve.   Staff and volunteers also submit to a CORI (Criminal Offender Record Information) background check before they can work or volunteer in the parish.

  They are also required to attend a workshop which further explains the policies and procedures and also educates them about the issues of child abuse.

  Both St. Agnes School and C.C.D. students have a component of their curriculum which addresses these important issues as well. 

  In addition, Saint Agnes has made a commitment to the children of our parish community by forming a Child Safe Environment Committee.  These members will meet to review our current policy and to put in place any other measures that will safe-guard our young people and help educate parents, employees and volunteers in our parish.
