DEACON

Rev. Mr. Pasqual Baldasaro

Deacon Pat became a parishioner of St. Agnes in 1960.  At that time he was working for GE. He was approached to join the Knights of Columbus and subsequently he became very involved in parish activities. He became a lector, then one of the first Eucharistic Ministers and also Parish Bookkeeper under Father Shaughnessy.  In 1979, the Diocese of Springfield announced the introduction of the Permanent Diaconate program and with the guidance of Father Koonz he joined the first class of Deacons in the Diocese.  He completed the course and was ordained on January 15, 1983 by Bishop Maguire along with 18 other men.  His ministries today are to Separated and Divorced, Rainbow for all God's Children, as well as numerous parish committees, councils, and activities.  Deacon Pat retired from Lockheed Martin in 1994.  He now spends his retired hours working with the maintenance personnel.
