Lisa Stankiewicz

Lisa Stankiewicz has been the Director of Religious Education since 1996, serving her first year as Interim Director.  Her duties include overseeing religious education classes for grades K-11, weekly Pre-School classes, Sacramental Preparation for Eucharist, Reconciliation and Confirmation, Coordination of the RCIA program, Adult Education, Youth Ministry, Baptism and Vacation Bible School.  Most recently, the Religious Education Office has undertaken a program entitled “A Community of Faith” which seeks to offer our parish community intergenerational learning opportunities.  Lisa states that she feels blessed to serve her parish community and believes the most important part of her job is to help bring people into a closer and more personal relationship with Jesus Christ.  She also acknowledges that the parish Religious Education program could not exist without the tireless dedication of the 85 volunteers who believe in this important ministry!       

As a parishioner since 1987, she was a member of the School Board, the Religious Education Board and Parish Council.  She also served as the Advisor to the Middle and High School Youth Groups. A former recipient of the Pius X Award, she is also a member of the Diocesan Parish Religious Education Board, serving as Secretary, and is a member of the National Catholic Educators Association and the National Parish Catechetical Directors.  Lisa is a former Middle School Teacher in the Pittsfield Catholic Schools and ESL (English as a Second Language) teacher for the Pittsfield Public Schools.   She attended Lesley University in Cambridge and graduated from M.C.L.A. in North Adams with a B.S. in Psychology and a minor in Education.  Lisa is married to Jim Stankiewicz and is the proud mother of Christopher, Matthew, Daniel and Joshua.
