Fr Reilly opened the meeting with a prayer.
Last months meeting minutes approved.
Joan MacDonald gave her Principal's Report:
- The Christmas concert was fantastic.
- The Drama Club performed My Fair Lady on Dec 9 and 10.
The performances were very successful. They are planning
on a production of Peter Pan in April.
- Grade Pre-K - 2 had a Fun Fest on January 7.
- There will be a dress down day on January 14 for the Red
Cross where the proceeds will be targeted for the Tsunami
victims.
- Candy Bar sales will start on January 14 and go until
January 28.
- The 2nd quarter report cards will be issued on January
26.
- Catholic Schools Week begins on January 30 with an Open
House at the school. There will be many events throughout
the week, including the Molly bish organization
photographing and finger printing children. Grade 3 Mass
is on Monday, Kindergarten, Mad Science and Teacher for a
Day is Tuesday, the Grandparents Luncheon and Reader's
Theater is Wednesday, The Ned Show and Teacher
Appreciation Day on Thursday, Slipper Day and Spirit Day
on Friday. registration is Monday,
- The Silent Auction, scheduled for April 9 from 6 to 11 at
Wyckoff Country Club, already has 40 items donated. The
goal had been 50 items. The more donations that can be
acquired, the more benefit potential for the school.
- Paying tuition with a credit card will be further
investigated. The option may make tuition collection
easier to manage.
- The Security System decision was to be made on January
13. There will be a camera and intercoms. Anyone entering
the school will need to be authorized. The system will be
installed during February vacation.
- The School Mission statement is complete and will be made
available shortly.
Fr. Reilly stated that the Parish finances were being reviewed
with the goal of establishing tuition for next school year. A
budgeting process needs to occur prior to the establishment of
the tuition, as well as projected and real income levels (e.g.,
fundraising efforts and proceeds help to control costs..
The next meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, February 2, at
7PM.
Fr. Reilly ended the meeting with a prayer and the meeting
adjourned at 8:25 PM.
