The meeting commenced at 7:05PM.

Attendees:

Father Reilly Mary Patryn Brian Mitchell
Judy Kniskern Anne Heston John O’Rourke
Kevin Hassett Joe Monahan Jim Rooney
Janice Orszulak Mary Lou Walthouse Bob Nell

Fr. Reilly started with a prayer.

Anne Heston gave her Principal's Report:

Joe Monahan made a tuition recommendation for the year 2004 - 2005. He requested the tuition be raised either $300.00 or $350.00, based upon the financial analysis work performed by John O'Rourke, Jim Rooney and himself. This work involved gathering tuition schedules from diocesean schools and working with the current budget and deficit. Father Reilly will take the recommendation under consideration. The recommendation is either $2,720 or $2,770. The decision needs to be made prior to Anne Heston sending out notices to parents in late February.

The 6 months (July 03 - Dec 03) financial status shows the school to have $39,523.42 deficit. The analysis was performed using a projected budget and prorating both the budget and including current expenses. This is approximately $40,000 less than anticipated.

A 16 foot high backstop and player fences is being donated for the ballfield in back of the school. Bob Nell has taken care of all the arrangements.

Fr. Reilly indicated there will be envelopes in June and October for parishoners to make a donation to the school.

With the closure of Holy Trinity in Westfield there is a possibility of students coming to St Mary's but Anne was not aware of any of those families inquiring about sending their children to St Mary's.

The next meeting will be on Wednesday – February 11, at 7 PM.

Fr. Reilly ended the meeting with a prayer.

The meeting adjourned at 8:45 PM.

Respectfully submitted,

Kevin J. Hassett
