Principal, Joan Mac Donald opened the meeting with a prayer.
Last months meeting minutes approved.
Joan MacDonald gave her Principal's Report:
- Mary Lou Walthouse has resigned. She is moving and will
no longer be in the Parish.
- Grades 6 & 7 have already been to Reconciliation.
- Grades 3, 4, 5 and 8 are coming in the next week.
- A Kindergarten Thanksgiving Feast was held last week with
Fr. Reilly.
- Grade 4 will have a cultural day on December 2. The theme
will be foods from around the world.
- The Drama Club is performing My Fair Lady on Dec 9 and
10. There is a Dinner on Friday preceding the
performance. Tickets are $5 each night. There is an
additional $5 charge to have the dinner theater on
Friday.
- The Secret Santa shopping will be held on December 15 and
16.
- Grade 7 will have their Mass on Dec 20.
- The Christmas Pageant is on December 23 at 9AM. The
Faculty dinner follows the pageant.
- The Silent Auction has been changed. Since Massachusetts
has changed the law on Open Bars, this changes the set up
for the evening. More information will be available as it
draws closer.
- The Candy Bar Sales will be held January 14 - January 28.
- The FACTS discussion was tabled. A majority quorum was
not available at this meeting and so the January meeting
needs to have more members in attendance to have a valid
vote.
- All of the old computers were sold.
- Joan MacDonald will be meeting with the Fire Department
to discuss gates and safety.
- Unico was presented with a plaque in appreciation for the
fence donation in the ball field.
- Four (4) estimates were received and reviewed for a
Security System.
- The Diocese has given St. Mary School approximately
$2,100 to be used at the discretion of the School. This
money came from the Future of Hope distributions.
- A Strategic Plan needs to be written for the Accreditation
process. Judy Kniskern has volunteered to write this
Plan. The Mission Statement is in its' final draft.
The next meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, January 5, at
7PM.
