Kevin Hassett opened the meeting with a prayer.

Joan MacDonald gave her Principal's Report:

• Three (3) new teachers have been hired – Anna Cruz (5^th grade), Debra Taylor (Music) and Jennifer Collins (Pre-K Aide)

• The Magazine Drive starts this Friday, 9/10/04 and runs until Monday, 9/20/04.

• The Golf Tournament is still looking for sponsorships and golfers to sign up.

• The copier lease was for 5 years vs. what was thought as 3 years. (There were two quotes received from two other companies who both came in with better prices that the current lease contract.) The copiers have been upgraded/serviced by the current supplier.

• Joan has received a new computer. It will be set-up over the next week.

• A correction to the May minutes, which discussed the recently acquired school computers, was requested. Pheonix Investment Partners donated the computers. Microsoft donated the software.

• Approximately 200 students are enrolled. A few more are expected.

• The Candidacy (accreditation) visit is planned for September 22. This is a 2-year process that culminates in an on-site meeting in October 2006.

• The School Newsletter, The Merry Measure, was mailed in August. It included an envelope for donations. It is not certain if this is the Development Fund Drive, which was postponed to early in 2005.

• There is a new student handbook. It is being published and will be distributed shortly.

The next meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, October 6, at 7PM.
