CATHOLIC CEMETERIES OUR MAUSOLEUMS

Since the diocese inception the cemeteries have been building a heritage. A heritage rooted in faith and built on dignity, respect, and caring service. Much of the history of our community can be traced through the generations of area residents buried within our boundaries. Between the lines of the names and dates found in our cemeteries are the stories of those who came before us — many of them our ancestors; those who pioneered this area, who helped build our cities and towns, and who opened the businesses that support our lives. We at the Diocese of Springfield take pride in this heritage and in serving the needs of area Catholics and their families.

In our cemeteries, much care is taken to provide an atmosphere of reverence and respect. Well-maintained grounds provide a beautiful backdrop for the religious shrines and statuary which attest to the spiritual nature of our cemeteries. Visitors are always welcome, and private prayer and mediation are encouraged.

We currently have two mausoleums we are introducing into our diocese: Pittsfield and Springfield.
