A long-time parishioner of Holy Cross Parish in Holyoke, Barbara Bernard wins the 2010 Citizenship Award by the Holyoke St. Patrick’s Parade Committee. The Citizenship Award is presented to a person or organization that may be of non-Irish descent that has made substantial contributions to the Parade and/ or the committee. Bernard is currently a columnist for the Springfield Republican and was a local television personality in the 1960’s.

An encore presentation of the February 13th program which kicked off the 51st Annual Catholic Appeal in the Diocese of Springfield. Featured on the program are some of the 42 agencies, ministries and programs that are funded in part by the ACA, including the Catholic Youth Center in Pittsfield, Bethlehem House in Easthampton, Broderick House in Holyoke and the Mont Marie Child Care Center.
