REQUESTS FOR INTERPRETERS IN CATHOLIC CHURCHES
The office for Ministry with the Deaf tries to honor requests for interpreters for religious services and events. These events include Baptisms, First Communions, Confirmations, weddings, funerals, and special events sponsored by a parish or the diocese. The office usually pays the stipend for interpreters. For requests, please contact Ministry With the Deaf at 413-592-4071 V/TTY.

REQUESTS FOR INTERPRETERS IN OTHER DENOMINATIONS
Persons looking for interpreters for religious events in other church denominations can obtain information by calling the Massachusetts Commission for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (MCDHH) in Boston at 1-800-882-1155 V or 1-800-530-7570 TTY.

INTERPRETERS FOR WEEKLY SERVICES
An interpreter is provided for the weekly Sunday Mass at St. Anne Church in Chicopee or Prayer Service at the K of C. For details, see the Link: SIGNED/INTERPRETED MASSES AND PRAYER SERVICES.

INTERPRETERS INTERESTED IN RELIGIOUS SIGNING
The office for Ministry With the Deaf provides training in religious sign language. Any interpreter who would like to be involved with interpreting in Catholic churches or services should call the office (413-592-4071).
