The International Catholic Deaf Association has a chapter in the Diocese of Springfield. It is under the auspices of the office for Ministry With the Deaf and works closely with the staff.
The chapter provides opportunities for socializing with other deaf persons, works with other groups that service the deaf, supports the office for Ministry With the Deaf and works on common projects, does outreach to deaf persons in third world countries, and works to advance the common good for all deaf persons.
Chapter 121 holds meetings about five times a year, after the Prayer Service and Social at the K of C in Chicopee. (See the LINK: Signed/Interpreted Masses and Prayer Services for details.) There are several social events that are held at St. Anne Church Hall in Chicopee. An annual Cookout for the Deaf is held in August.
