SIGNED/INTERPRETED MASSES

(Special
Ministers of the Eucharist Recommitment)
Every Sunday
(except the third Sunday of the month), there is an interpreted Mass
at:
St. Anne Church - 30 College Street (off Route 33) - Chicopee, MA
Time: 9:00 a.m.
Masses
on special holidays (e.g. Christmas, Easter) are signed also. The time
is usually 9:00 a.m. Check with the office for Ministry With the Deaf
if you have questions.
The information is also listed in our quarterly newsletter. (Contact
us if you wish to receive the newsletter.)
PRAYER/COMMUNION
SERVICE AND SOCIAL
On the
third Sunday of each month, there is a Prayer/Communion Service at:
The K of C - #4044 (Castle of the Knights) - Unit #4
1599 Memorial Drive - Chicopee, MA.
Time: 10:00 a.m.

(Acting out the Christmas Gospel at the K .of C.)
Deaf persons
are involved in the service: leading the prayers, acting out the Gospel,
signing “deaf” music, and serving as Eucharistic Ministers
or ushers. Interpreters are provided for hearing persons, oral deaf
persons, and the deaf/blind.
During the Prayer Service, food (canned food or dry food) is collected
for our Food Pantry. Staff members from the office distribute this food
to deaf individuals or families who may need a little extra help.
After the
Service, there is always a Social. Coffee and dessert (provided by people
who attend) are served to all who come. It is a wonderful opportunity
to meet deaf persons, share with families who have similar concerns,
and improve signing skills. All are welcome!
