Spiritual guidance Information on general and particular bereavement groups Training for parish bereavement ministries Lending library books, tapes and videos Individual assessment of bereavement needs Grief education materials Retreats/programs for the bereaved NEW BEGINNINGS FOR BEREAVEMENT GROUPS At the present time the Family Life Office is the place to contact if you are seeking a support group. We are in the process of contacting parishes that have Bereavement Groups in order to inform persons who are in need of support to seek out a community in your area that is able to be there for you in your anguish. We all need support during these difficult days and know that we will be extending our hands and hearts as soon as we can. BEREAVEMENT TRAINING FOR LEADERS Any Parish seeking extra training for leaders in bereavement is asked to contact the Family Life Office. Sr. Mary Petisce will set up some time for you to be trained to facilitate a group. Many updated materials are available for you to view and absorb. This will greatly help in providing a sensitive and supportive program for any person who has lost a loved one. Please mark this date on your calendar and plan to be with us. This Spirituality Day is for man and women of all ages suffering the effects of a major loss and for those who minister to them.
