Youth Ministry
VISION

The Office of Youth Ministry functions out of a vision of Catholic youth ministry and goals that are specific to our diocese.

Renewing the Vision – A Framework for Catholic Youth Ministry (© 1997, USCCB), the U.S. Bishops’ pastoral plan for youth ministry, provides us with a framework that describes specific goals, components, themes, and settings for this ministry that are applicable to all parish and/or Catholic school settings. Hope for the Decade is the result of a 2 ½ year assessment and planning process undertaken by the OYM in 2002-2004. This process resulted in a redefinition of the work of the OYM (described on the Core Ideology pages) and the 10-year goals of the OYM. Click here for a description of these goals.
